ANC Resolution Regarding the H.O.M.E. Resolution

The Executive Committee met on April 2nd and voted to support ANC’s draft resolution regarding the H.O.M.E. Resolution. The resolution will be presented at the next SRCC General Membership meeting for a vote among all members present. That meeting will be held over Zoom on April 16th. At that same meeting, the Nominating Committee will present their nominations for officers. Members will vote on the slate of officers that night.

Anyone who lives within the SRCC boundaries is welcome to participate and attend meetings. However, voting on issues is limited to members. Dues-paid members may  vote when SRCC faces motions, elects officers, and makes organizational decisions. If you would like to join SRCC, see how to do that here.

NOTE: In order to vote, dues must be paid a month in advance, per by-laws requiring a 28-day waiting period after dues are paid until new member can vote, with the exception that if a former member’s dues have lapsed no more than 2 years, they may renew at the meeting and be eligible to vote.

GM Meeting for 4/16 will be held over Zoom Only

It has took a lot of work to get to the point where we could hold our March meeting in person and over Zoom. We are still in need of a couple of folks to assist with the technology on site when we hold hybrid meetings. Please reach out to communications@srccatx.org or membership@srccatx.org to find out how you can help.

This would be an easy job for someone who likes to come to in-person meetings and is moderately comfortable with technology. You won’t be doing the job alone. If you throw your name in the ring, there will be support for you in advance, if you want it, and on site the day of the meetings.

Want to Vote for SRCC Officers?

Just a friendly reminder: The deadline to become a new member, or to renew a membership that has lapsed for more than 2 years, is March 15th for voting at the April 16th General Membership meeting. For members whose membership has lapsed within the last 2 years, please renew by April 15th. We will not be able to process dues on the day of the election. To find out the status of your membership, you can send an email to membership@srccatx.org.

Spring 2024 Newsletter

The Spring 2024 edition of the SRCC Newsletter has been printed and delivery is underway. You can also get a head start on reading it here.

Complete delivery of the paper newsletter to thousands of homes takes a few weeks. If it’s been a while and you have not received your copy, please contact Betty Weed at communications@srccatx.org.

A huge thanks to all the volunteers (area coordinators and block captains) needed in order to hand-distribute our newsletter! If you can help us deliver in your area, please contact the email above. For many of our residents, this is still the only way for them to stay informed on what’s going on in our area.
