Followers of this story know how well I miscalculated the time needed to get official permission to get to work on this derelict public park building. Today, however, I am very pleased to report that, in my last act as first president of the Norwood Park Foundation (NPF), I signed the long negotiated agreement with the City that does just that.
Perseverance, team work, community support, and the financial commitment of visionary venture philanthropists, together made this possible.
Once necessary permits are in hand, the NPF will stage a public launch event to promote the vision, and our plan to get there. In the meantime our new website is view-able here:
