1 Welcome Members and Guests

Verification of quorum. The Meeting was called to order at 7:07 pm
2 Approve General Membership Meeting Minutes
Presenter: Chris Phillips-Frishman, SRCC Secretary
VOTE on motion to approve minutes.
The Secretary recorded Minutes for the General Membership Meeting of Tuesday, February 20, 2024; the Minutes were distributed for feedback and then published on March 2nd, 2024.
The President asks if there are objections or corrections to the Minutes, none being voiced, the Minutes are approved unanimously.
Upcoming Meetings
General Membership: May 21st, June 18th, August 20th, September 17th, October 15th, December 17th
Executive Committee: May 7th (potluck!), June 4th, August 6th, September 3rd, October 1st, December 3rd

4 Membership Report

At 272 Members, this is a substantial increase from the previous month.

a) Planning and Zoning

b) Historic Preservation
409 East Monroe, this is being monitored due to suspicion of “demolition by neglect” – looking for Code Enforcement support.
The Norwood House has seen some progress, more updates in future meetings.
1308 Alta Vista will be one of the homes featured in the Preservation Austin Home Tours, this coming weekend.

d) Mobility
Mark Thompson reports that signs are ready to be installed; Academy will be the first run, because it has experienced the most overflow, then the installation will move southward
PTMD are already looking at some of the areas, re: sidewalks, eg, extending the southside Sidewalk on Academy from where it ends at the pocket park behind The Lola, and continuing that sidewalk across Ravine and to connect to existing sidewalk there. That should help clear up a lot of foot traffic on the street.
Scooters in Austin have been greatly reduced, this is helping keep the sidewalks clear.
e) Public Safety
Tom Groce reports that the usual crime situation is continuing. Check our website for information from the city on how to be more cautious and prudent.
f) Parks and Environment
David Todd updates on the events at Blunn Preserve; there has been great participation and more are scheduled.

Betty Weed reports that the website needs to be authenticated; Betty has contacted those who hold the credentials.
