See timelines for construction and give input about reverse angle parking with bike lanes uphill, traffic lights, resurfacing, etc.

Talbot’s sculpture at Live Oak is in progress.

Dear South Congress Avenue stakeholder,

The last public meeting regarding the South Congress Improvement Project (SCIP) was held on Dec. 15, 2010. The City of Austin will host a follow-up meeting on Monday, May 16 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at One Texas Center, 505 Barton Springs Road , Room 325, to discuss the construction schedule for the South Congress Avenue improvements with local residents and business merchants. Information about the planned improvements and history about the South Congress Improvement Project is online at www.ci.austin.tx.us/transplan/scip.htm.

The May 16 meeting will be focused on the improvements along South Congress Avenue, not on parking issues. The City of Austin will host meetings about parking issues such as Residential Parking Permits (RPP), spillover parking, and Parking Benefit Districts at later dates.

Parking for the meeting will be available for free in the One Texas Center parking garage. Please join us if you have an interest in the construction phase of the South Congress projects, and feel free to invite other interested persons.
