TreeFolks, a local urban forestry non-profit, is currently offering free trees through their NeighborWoods program. Each year, in partnership with the City of Austin, they give out 4,600 5-gallon trees to Austin Area residents and Austin Energy customers. Tree adopters can choose from large stature trees, ornamental/flowering trees, and fruit/nut trees.
There are two ways participate: Â 1) Attend a giveaway event to take home a tree or 2) Sign up for the free home delivery service at www.treefolks.org/nw. You can also do both!
