New Sherwood Oaks Community Garden?

Things appear to be moving along for an exciting Sherwood Oaks community garden project conceived by Elloa Mathews and facilitated by David Todd and several City contacts.  The garden would be located at the west end of St. Edwards Drive (west of Carnavon) in an area that is currently a paved dead end street.  See image below.

The area has most recently been used as an equipment and material staging area for the Long Bow Storm Drain Improvement project.  Before then, neighbors observed sporadic criminal activity taking place at this location.

Under the current scenario being considered, the impervious cover (asphalt) would be removed and that area transferred to PARD.   Further details will be released as they become available.
