6:15 Eat up.

7:00 Announcements.

7:15 Entertainment:  Classical Guitar Group from Fulmore Middle School.

7:30 Candidates, nominations from floor, elections.

8:15 Adjourn

Attendance was approximately 40 residents. Immediately before and at the meeting, 29 members renewed their dues and 6 residents became new members of SRCC.

After enjoying the dishes and visiting with neighbors, we heard an impressive performance by students from Fulmore Middle School who are in the Classical Guitar program.

Afterwards, there were a number of Announcements (all impromptu and unscheduled) including a report from David Todd on It’s My Park Day successes at the Blunn Creek Preserve, a suggestion from Jean Mather that we look into issues that neighborhood artists are facing with Code Compliance inspectors, and a promotion from Betty Weed regarding a SXSW film premier in which one of our students would appear.

Sarah Campbell, the President, then conducted the election.  The candidate slate included the current Officer and Area Coordinator rosters with the single exception of Bob Drew, who stepped down after 3 years as Treasurer.  The Officer slate then included Sarah Campbell for President; Marc Davis for Vice-President; and Garret Nick (absent) for Secretary.  Sarah called for nominations from the floor.  Sam Martin, member, nominated John Foote for Treasurer and Mr. Foote accepted the nomination.  No more nominations were made from the floor.  Sarah asked if anyone objected to calling the vote all at once rather than voting on each individual position.  There were no objections.  The vote was unanimous among members — no nays, no abstentions.

Folks then helped clean up and visited for another 30 minutes or so.  It was a very successful Annual Potluck and Elections this year.
